FRIENDLY FIRE DEPARTMENT

a social-deduction game where firefighters battle a blaze and hunt the arsonist in their own crew

In development for Windows, macOS and Linux

How a round goes

  1. Put the fire out

Up to 8 firefighters in a room, online with friends or solo with a bot crew, and one building getting worse by the second. The water cannon is strong enough to knock a colleague flat, and nobody aims as carefully as they think they do.

  2. Find the arsonist

One of the crew started it, and is quietly starting more. Talk it out: push to talk, the crew near you hears you, and every word you say shows up over your head.

  3. Split the bill

When the shift is over, everybody votes on who did it. Then the insurance pays out according to who "contributed", and it was keeping count.

Four firefighters crowded into a ground-floor corridor above a burning room. One of them, Chuck, is taking a colleague's water jet square in the back. An occupant calls for help from the next room, and two of the crew are talking: one says 'Refilling water!' while the player says 'it wasn't me'.
Somebody just hosed Chuck. Nobody did it.
The end-of-round payout: one cream receipt per firefighter, itemising cells doused, teammates blasted across the building, and an arsonist's undisclosed side contract clawed back after conviction.
Every round ends in an itemised bill. So does every grudge.

The game is original work — every visual drawn from shapes, every sound synthesised as you play. This is what it stands on.
